I just bought the 2nd one and it has the same problem as the first one. I have 48 hrs. to return it for a refund. can't risk it working with the new switch and by the time I receive it and if it does not work, I am stuck with it.or have to call for repair. Wish I had known this before throwing away my 1st one which was 3 yrs. old.

I have a Frigidaire doing the same thing. Believe it or not, the Frigidaire and GE are made by the same Chinese or Koreans. The very same way to make the repair. I have replaced the fuses twice and all three door sensors. Well, tonight it tripped again. Guess what, tomorrow I am going to call the appliance store, have them bring me a new one. Not going to make any more repairs. Another disposable product.

Our GE microwaves panel sometimes buttons don't press, or you have to press it a few times to work, like lights, turn off vent, etc. Sometimes it turns off after cooking. Manufactured in 2012. Will try your solution.

I'm going to try this trick. My microwave is 16 years old but it runs only when the door is closed. As soon as you open the door the fuse area flashes and the microwave dies. Thanks for the info.

My GE microwave is doing something weird. When the door is open I can set the clock turn the fan on and off and press numbers which will give the door error because the door is open but as soon as I close the door none of the buttons work. Hopefully someone can help

I just had the check engine light on - 2013 Chevy Sonic LT - it was the purge valve that needed to be replaced. It was stuck shut. Part and labor: $345

Will these parts work for model JVM3160RF5SS? I don't see which model you are working on.

BAD ADVICE !! The fuses used in microwave ovens are not the same as automotive fuses. They are a special delay fuses or thermal fuses and readily available. Not a good idea to use a plain old glass AGC fuse. Microwave fuses are usually available at Ace Hardware or other similar stores. Also, our GE over the range microwave oven is 20 years old and still going strong.

Thank you for this information. I did this a couple years ago and changed the microswitch and fuse. Recently I hade to change it again but it continues to blow the fuse but the microswitch is still good. The fuse will last about 2-3 days. I am using a 20 amp 250 volt fuse which is what was in it originally. What could be causing the fuses to blow??

Brand new appliances in my brand new home. All of sudden the microwave goes out as of this week, but it gave me a sign last week Saturday that something was getting ready to happen. I assumed that the entire microwave had to be taken out the wall, but after seeing your video I'm so worried now.

I bent the float tab twice even tho it never used to leak & it still did. About to go fix it proper ;) just did it on bike there was shit in the orifice like a piece dental floss also filed the holes lower edge by hand with a 2mm drill bit.

My G.e will turn on. But won’t heat up? What could be my problem? Thank u
